Silverado Vineyards 2012 Estate Cabernet

Silverado Vineyards 2012 Estate Cabernet

This month Alex and I celebrated the two year mark from our first date. To celebrate, we went back to the same restaurant we visited November 5, 2014. We enjoyed an amazing meal and paired it with a bottle of Silverado Vineyards 2012 Estate Cabernet

This wine boasts elegance with soft tannins and notes of black cherry. The fruity notes were perfectly balanced and we savored this medium-bodied wine with each sip. Adding to the complexity of this Cabernet, an embrace of ripe plum lingered on the finish. Aged 17 months in French Oak, aromas of oak and earth are strong on the nose, followed by the rich cherry. The powerful umami flavors of the Korean BBQ dishes and Asian-style tapas we enjoyed that night paired perfectly with the complexity of this Cabernet. I can easily see us enjoying a bottle this estate grown cab again at home very soon.

Celebrating milestones strengthens relationships, makes way for creating new memories, and reminds us of special moments. Specifically, relationship milestones remind us of the early days of dating and falling in love with our spouse. Remembering these special moments gives us the opportunity to reflect on the time that has passed and how life has shaped us into where we are today. Each day is a building block of trust and respect in a marriage. Whatever the celebration, make the most of it and make it special. Cheers to that!
